Surrounded by friends and family, Morgan and Dawson said their “I dos” at Southern Stables Venue in West Monroe, La.
I loved photographing all the little details that Morgan planned for their wedding day…the cute sweatshirt and embellished “Mrs Cooper” tennis shoes. Love!!
Surrounded by the warmth of Southern hospitality, Morgan and Dawson embarked on a journey of love at the enchanting Southern Stables Wedding Venue in West Monroe, Louisiana. Their wedding day unfolded like a dream, filled with heartfelt moments, Southern charm, and an abundance of love from friends and family.
I had the privilege of capturing every intricate detail that Morgan meticulously planned for their wedding day. The love and care she poured into each element were evident, from the charming sweatshirt she adorned to the embellished “Mrs. Cooper” tennis shoes that added a touch of playfulness to the occasion. It was a celebration not just of love but also of the unique and personal touches that made the day uniquely theirs.
The ceremony, surrounded by the embrace of loved ones, resonated with joy and laughter. As Morgan and Dawson said their “I dos,” the venue transformed into a space where love blossomed, and memories were etched into the hearts of all in attendance.
The reception that followed was a true celebration, complete with details that reflected the couple’s style.
Here is a little of the beginnings and in betweens leading up to the wedding day at Southern Stables Venue.
How they met
My fiance and I met in high school while we were juniors. We met through friends, the day we met we were both going to the Bayou Jam Game at ULM. The friends that I was hanging out with were the same friends he had been friends with for a while. When we were introduced we started talking and never stopped. Our connection and friendship only grew stronger until we realized we were meant to spend the rest of our lives together.
The proposal?
Dawson proposed to me October 29th a couple days before Halloween. Our favorite time of the year is Fall and Halloween. He proposed to me at our family’s Halloween party while everyone was dressed up in costumes. He had a tent set up outside his parent’s house that was lit with candles and fairy lights. He had pumpkins everywhere and on one it said Marry Me? I was completely shocked and had no idea he had planned this. It was all I could ever ask for and so unique. Right after he proposed, I immediately set a wedding date for the next year around the same time, so we could have our dream fall wedding.
Why did you choose Southern Stables Venue?
We chose our venue because we both love rustic and classy themes. This venue particularly struck our interest because the venue offered a beautiful white barn that was modern and allowed us to have both themes combined. It brought our two outlooks on a wedding into one.
What is next?
After getting married, we plan to take a week-long honeymoon to Broken Bow. We want a relaxful and peaceful place to take it slow and enjoy our time with one another. We plan to buy our first home together after the wedding and start a family very soon after. We are excited to start this next chapter in our lives and start a family together.
