Outdoor bride and groom photo after the wedding ceremony.

This outdoor summer wedding had all the summer vibes…Louisiana heat, an afternoon thunderstorm, and cuddly love. It was a great celebration of Morgan & Blaine! View some of my favorites from their outdoor summer wedding and also from their engagement session.

The Meeting
Blaine and I met at church. Because of Covid, my school had all students remain at home between Thanksgiving and Christmas break. This meant that I could make it to the Young Adults Christmas party… even though I was a little late.

When I got there I was with the hostess to get some things out of her car to take into the building when another member of the group that I hadn’t met before walked up and I was very emphatically introduced. I had heard his name from my friends before but had never put a name to the face.

For the rest of the night, the boy and I, Blaine, “ran into each other” (very smoothly and casually) and talked every chance that we had. We never stopped talking and, now, I get to promise that we never do.

The Proposal
Blaine asked me to marry him at the same place we officially started dating. It is a park where we like to walk. We were both dressed up to go out for a nice meal and decided to go for a walk in our park. It is not a particularly beautiful park, so I thought Blaine was looking for someone to jump out at us while his head was on a swivel looking for a good background. When he had found one, Blaine set up his phone so we could take a picture while we were all dressed up but while I was cleaning up the branches so they wouldn’t be in the background, he was setting the video up on his phone before he walked up to me and got down on one knee.

The funny part to me is that we dressed up to go out for a nice meal and then, after we got engaged, went and ate fast food chicken.

The Future
The next step is honeymooning in Eureka Springs and going on a grand adventure!!!

After that, we will both have to return back to reality and knuckle down to finish that last year of college that we both lack.

An outdoor summer wedding has great light for the ceremony, portraits, and first looks.
