It rained for about a week and caused flash flooding before the wedding at Brooke & Robert’s home location in South Louisiana. Watching the extended forecast, I just knew we were going inside for all the photos due to the rain. But guess what…as you can see from these gorgeous photos, the day turned in perfection.
I had been to Brooke & Robert’s home and actually to their First Look location previously because that is where we took Brooke’s bridal pictures. Their home is where Brooke got ready with her girls while Robert was just a few minutes down the road getting ready with his groomsmen. We then meet up with Robert at a Plantation for the First Look. As I told Robert how excited Brooke was to see him, the emotions were already coming.
Side note, I love wedding day First Looks because of the quiet moment couples get before the day really gets going. Also, the photos you get during and after…oh my! You don’t want to miss out on that.
Following the First Look and portraits, Brooke and Robert had a church ceremony close to home and then we headed to The James Grace House in Plaquemine for a night dancing and celebrating.
Here are a few of my favorites from the day and the vendors who helped make their day great~
Ceremony Venue | St. Joseph Catholic Church
Reception Venue | The James Grace House
Videographer | High Rise Productions
Wedding & Grooms Cake | Baking on the Bayou
Band | Foret Tradition
Makeup Artist | Makeup by MARTI
Hair Stylist | Tristyn Guidroz
Wedding Dress | Maggie Sottero
What a day! These photos are absolutely amazing! Kim and Bryan are two of the kindest and most genuine people you will ever meet. They complement each other so well. Kim is incredibly talented. She has an innovative style that is effortless. Brian has a meticulous eye and a way of making the entire experience feel even more personable. I have a huge appreciation for his attention to small details because our pictures are nothing short of perfect! Working with them was so easy. They made us feel so comfortable; like old friends as if we had known them for years. It is obvious that Kim and Brian love what they do, and we enjoyed working with them.
